What Kind of Casino This Is
If you have never walked into Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach before, the first thing to understand is the style of gaming we offer. This is a machine-based casino. You will not see live dealer tables, no card pits, no croupier shuffling cards in front of you. Everything on the gaming floor runs through electronic terminals - slots, electronic blackjack, roulette, baccarat. That is the entire setup.
For a first visit, this tends to feel quite comfortable. You are not under a dealer’s eye while you try to remember the rules. You choose the pace yourself. Every terminal has on-screen instructions that go through the basics of the game before you commit to a wager, so you are not expected to be an expert when you sit down.
The gaming area is close to 25,000 square feet, with roughly 230 to 250 machines, depending on which source you look at. In practice it feels like a mid-size property: large enough that you have options, small enough that it does not feel like an airport.
| Gaming Feature | Detail |
|---|
| Floor size | Approximately 25,000 sq ft |
| Slot machines | Around 231-250 units |
| Electronic table games | Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat via e-stations |
| Live dealer tables | Not available |
| Minimum age | 19 years old |
It is worth stating clearly before you plan a night out: if your main aim is live dealer table games, this is not the right venue for that. Better to know it in advance than discover it while you are standing at the entrance.
Hours and How To Get Here
We operate seven days a week. From Sunday to Thursday the casino opens at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 2:00 a.m. On Fridays and Saturdays the hours stretch a bit longer, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. So if you prefer a later weekend visit, there is room in that schedule.
Our address is 88 Lyons Court, Wasaga Beach, Ontario, L9Z 1T7. You may still see 15 Joseph Drive listed on some maps or older websites. Both point to the same building, but for navigation we recommend using 88 Lyons Court, as that is the one confirmed by Gateway Casinos and current directories.
Parking on site is free. The building is fully wheelchair accessible. We sit near Mosley Street and Highway 26, a short drive from the Wasaga Beach waterfront, so reaching us is straightforward whether you live nearby or are staying in town during the summer.
There is no hotel directly attached to the casino. However, the official website includes a Stay and Play section that mentions a local accommodation partner at 88 Main St., with a contact number of 705-429-2543. If you prefer to make a night of it, that is the reference point to start from.
MATCH Eatery - Food, Drinks, And A Breather
Inside the casino you will find one main food and beverage option: MATCH Eatery and Public House. This is a Gateway Casinos brand, set up as a neighbourhood-style pub with casual dishes, a full bar, and a sports bar atmosphere. It is not positioned as fine dining; think more along the lines of a relaxed place to sit down, eat something proper, and regroup.
MATCH runs on its own schedule, and its hours are slightly shorter than the casino floor:
- Sunday: 10:00 a.m. to midnight
- Monday to Thursday: 11:30 a.m. to midnight
- Friday: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
On Friday and Saturday evenings there is usually live music starting around 8:00 p.m. If you want to catch the band or singer, planning to arrive a little before 8 gives you a chance to find a table and settle in. The restaurant itself is described as family-friendly in tone, but the gaming floor remains 19-plus only.
Taking a proper pause halfway through your visit - a meal, a drink, a short walk away from the machines - sounds very basic. Still, it really helps you control the tempo of the evening. A lot of guests skip that and are surprised how quickly the night goes by.
